The capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. Hub Golden Triangle with mains Bukit Bintang, KLCC, and Chinatown. Walk through my 3 days here in KL.

1. Staying in Hostel

It is a culture of Malaysians to take off their shoes before entering their own houses or other people’s houses. This culture has also been adopted in most hostels &  guest houses in Malaysia as most people treat hostels as their second home while traveling.

The Travellers also practice shoe off culture in the hostel,  I loved my stay in The Explorers close to every amenity a backpacker could possibly need.

Walking distance to Chinatown and the cultural Central Market. The Pasar Seni LRT station is a mere 5-minutes’ walk away.

2. Shop down at Chinatown & Central Market

Shopping is must here, I almost went here every day as I could walk from my hostel browsing through accessories, bags, clothes, shoes, I found out my looks for the next day.

3. Foot & Food around Little India

Brickfields is Malaysia’s Little India. A wide street with Indian shops with saris, flower garlands, spices and restaurants run by the country’s Indian community and ta-da Bollywood music to local delicacies, I planned to enjoy all.

4. Discover Aquatic Fantasy in Aquaria KLCC

KLCC Aquaria, aquarium showcasing over 5,000 freshwater and marine life creatures from Malaysia and around the world.  Felt like picture book reads of childhood fantasy I was into on a 90m  journey of the walk-through tunnel with a moving travelator with me surrounded by sand tiger sharks, candy looking squeezy moon jellies and more.

5. Skyway to Genting Highlands & Casino

Amidst the cool mountain air and a majestic 100 million-year-old rainforest in Awana Skyway Gondolas to Genting Highlands.

5. Explore River of Life & Sultan Abdul Samad Building

6. Masjid Jamek Mosque

Oldest Islamic place of worship, ancient Islamic and Mughal architectural styles are worth to capture. We walked around and stayed for a while to see the happenings around.

7. Visit the PETRONAS Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur

Iconic 451m high the landmark & symbol of Kuala Lumpur, along with nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower.  Bot the view day & night when lit up are worth capturing from the base of the towers.

8. Nightlife in Bukit Bintang

Large malls with classy boutiques and brands available, I enjoyed the mall setups too, being set up for Christmas Eve.

To witness Kuala Lumpur at night Bukit Bintang is one of the places to go for and enjoy till late, this part doesn’t fall asleep.

9. KL City Gallery

Of course not to miss it, it has a museum and a tourist center to find out what all one can do when in KL.

For a small fee of some 10-25 RM, you can see the exhibition and get a access to buy some souvenir or enjoy a coffee & dessert. I loved the model of KL,  saw photos, KL models, paintings and a lot of pictures spots to gist up my tour of KL.
